The rest of Intellivision Collection 1's titles revealed

Evercade announced the Intellivision cart with the first three games in February, introducing AstroSmash, Night Stalker and Frog Bog. Now the game list is complete, with the the reveal coming in a YouTube chat with OEB Pete talking to Blaze's Sean Cleaver where they dropped another nine titles.

One key point from the interview, we will know everything coming this year by the end of May, so this is going to be a very busy month. And with the new Vs hardware coming, its a great year to be an Evercade fan!

My Intellivision knowledge is pretty limited, which is why I'm looking forward to this, but I can't really comment on the games. Check out the rest of the video for some gameplay snippets, and some fun retro chat. While these titles really are from the dawn of gaming, each looks to have merit and deserves some modern life and love.

A second collection is planned for 2022, with Evercade citing

"One of the key things with trying to bring an older, classic system to a device such as the Evercade is making sure that the experience of playing the games is good and fun. But is also as intuitive as it originally was. This is why you see many devices that have the first and second generation of consoles utilize the original control schemes as much as possible.

With the Intellivision, that is more difficult due to its unique and nostalgia-loaded keypad controller. This doesn’t mean that games from that system will be lost or unplayable without it but it means that we have to make choices as to what works intuitively and is fun to use with an adapted control scheme. All this while bringing the classics everyone loves, everyone remembers or wants to show off for the first time."
