XenoCrisis and Tanglewood Head to the Evercade

XenoCrisis is one of the most fun games I've played in ages, a Kickstarted homage to the 16-bit era, it comes to the Evercade in a neat bundle that shows the new console can do retro-modern as well as true classics. Both games show there's plenty of love for the Mega Drive and that not every coder cares about vertexes and massive textures.

Xeno Crisis is a top-down arena shooter originally designed for the Sega Mega Drive from Bitmap Bureau. You take control of battle-hardened marines embarking on a deadly mission to confront an alien menace! Run and gun your way through thousands of adversaries, power up your weapons, search for survivors, and ultimately facing the origin of the outpost's demise.

Tanglewood is another recent outing on the Sega Mega Drive, offering a nostalgic platforming experience, the game follows a young creature, Nymn, who is separated from the family pack after the sun sets. Unable to get back to the safety of the underground home, Nymn must find a way to survive the night terrors and get to morning.
